Congratulations Signal Knob Middle School FFA Chapter the Top Middle School Chapter in the Nation!!!!!


Congratulations to the following students for their performances at last week FCCLA State Convention.

Jaqueline Elbon and Jana Bowman won gold medals and placed second in the state for their Sports Nutrition project, advancing them to Nationals this summer in San Antonio, TX. 

Kara Bowman and Rachel Palmer won silver medals for their National Programs in Action project.
Kiana Carter and Ashleigh Hockman won silver medals and placed second in the state for their Promote and Publicize FCCLA project, advancing to Nationals this summer in San Antonio, TX.
Morgan Knave and Ivy Warnell won gold medals and placed first in the state for their Chapter Service Project Portfolio Project, advancing them to Nationals this summer in San Antonio, TX
Grace Davis and Jamie Spiker won gold medals and placed second in their Chapter in Review Portfolio project, advancing them to nationals this summer in San Antonio, TX.
Delainey Stickley, Jaden Alsberry, and Hannah Peer won silver medals for their Focus on Children project.
Alivia Keatts won a silver medal for her Career Investigation project.
Kirstin Carroll won a bronze medal for her Life Event Planning project.
Madison Shell won a silver medal for her Recycle and Redesign project. 
Michaela Amari successfully fulfilled her role as the Virginia FCCLA State Vice President of Public Relations at this Conference and throughout the entire school year.

SKMS does not open for student use until 7:45 a.m. daily.  Students are not to arrive at or enter school prior to 7:45 a.m. when supervision will be provided for them.

The official school day will begin promptly at 8:07 a.m. and any student arriving after 8:15 a.m. will be considered tardy.  Students who accumulate 4 or more unexcused tardy marks will be subject to disciplinary procedures.

The following reasons for absences are valid and excused:  illness, serious illness or death in the immediate family, emergency medical or dental attention, and absences with prior approval by school officials.  For absences to be excused a parent or legal guardian must call the school to notify the attendance clerk of the absence.  If the parent/guardian is unable to call he/she must send a note to school with the student upon the student's return.  Notes are to be turned in to the student's homeroom teacher.  Failure to notify the school of a student absence will result in the absence(s) being classified as unexcused.
